
At the 2025 Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA11), Femi Adebayo’s historical drama series, Seven Doors, won three major prizes.
The king at the heart of the series, Adedunjoye, was portrayed by Femi Adebayo, who won Best Lead Actor. For her portrayal of Adedunjoye’s wife, Amaka, in the series, Chioma Chukwuka also won the Best Lead Actress prize. Additionally, the series took home Best Music/Score.
Best Indigenous Language Film, Best Makeup, Best Art Direction, Best Music/Score, Best Writing in a TV Series, and Best Supporting Actor were among the categories in which Seven Doors was nominated in addition to these victories. Femi Adebayo created the limited series Seven Doors, a Nigerian drama television show, for Netflix.
Actor and Producer Femi Adebayo makes his directorial debut with the series, which is set in Ilara, Ondo State, and explores Nigeria in the 18th and 19th centuries. It is co-directed by Femi Adebayo, Tope Adebayo, and Adebayo Tijani and produced by Euphoria 360 in association with Netflix.

The narrative explores his ancestry, his difficult tenure as king, and his complicated marriage to Amaka (played by Chioma Chukwuka) and six other wives.
