WAMCO Nigeria Plc Christians Yinka Sanni Board Chairman As Moyo Ajekigbe Retires

Following the retirement of Moyo Ajekigbe, who has served as the board’s distinguished chairman since 2010, FrieslandCampina WAMCO Nigeria Plc has announced the appointment of Yinka Sanni as Chairman of the board of directors.

 

The company expanded significantly, started ground-breaking dairy development projects, and improved its market position throughout Nigeria’s dairy sector under Ajekigbe’s inspiring leadership.

BrandSpur news brand reports that Sanni adds a lot of experience to the board as a seasoned Executive with more than 35 years in the financial services industry. With experience in asset management, corporate strategy, and retail and wholesale banking, he has held senior executive positions at Standard Bank Group and Stanbic IBTC Holdings Plc.

Ajekigbe had this to say as he bid farewell to the company. I would like to sincerely thank each and every one of you for your unwavering support, professionalism, and genuine commitment to helping to shape and spread the NNPC Ltd. story over the past 20 months.

Futhering, the new Chairman had this to say: “I commend Mr. Ajekigbe for his outstanding leadership. I look forward to working with the Board, Management, Employees, and Shareholders to sustain our leadership in Nigeria’s dairy sector.”

In addition to expressing delight for Sanni’s appointment and the future of FrieslandCampina WAMCO Nigeria, Managing Director Roger Adou commended Ajekigbe’s legacy in innovation and sustainability.
