
Olufemi Soneye, the Spokesperson for the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL), has disclosed that he has stepped down from the seat.
He declared that he had “Stepped aside from his role as Chief Corporate Communications Officer of NNPC Ltd” and would no longer serve as the Oil giant’s spokesperson.
According to him, he wants to spend more time with his family and take care of personal matters that currently call for his attention. In August 2021, Soneye was named spokesperson for NNPCL.
Soneye’s complete statement available to BrandSpur news brand reads: Respected Coworkers, I want to express my sincere appreciation to each and every one of you for your steadfast assistance, professionalism, and sincere dedication in shaping and amplifying the NNPC Ltd story over the last 20 months. Your contribution to developing a dynamic and successful communications presence for our national energy corporation has been absolutely indispensable.
I would like to notify you that I have left my position as NNPC Ltd.’s Chief Corporate Communications Officer. I will be able to spend more time with my family and take care of personal obligations that now call for my closer presence thanks to this choice. Serving the organisation and our nation, as well as being able to personally contribute to NNPC Ltd.’s continuous change, has been an immense honour. I am incredibly appreciative of the confidence placed in me, the chances I have been given, and the amazing individuals I have collaborated with both inside and outside the company.
No matter where I travel, I continue to be a staunch advocate and supporter of NNPC Ltd. I implore you, my dear colleagues, to keep up your thorough, fair, and helpful reporting in support of the company’s admirable goals and key position in Nigeria’s energy future.
