Yango Group Opens Its Largest Regional Office In Abidjan, Ivory Coast

To expand its operations and investments throughout Africa, the UAE-based tech company, Yango Group has established a new regional office in Abidjan, Ivory Coast.

The office will act as the continental headquarters for Yango and manage expansion in strategic African markets where the company presently provides digital services such as food delivery, ride-hailing, e-commerce, digital payments via a single Super App, and navigation.

BrandSpur business and economy news desk reports that Abidjan was selected to house Yango’s largest office in Africa because of its strategic significance to the company’s operations, according to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Mr. Daniil Shuleyko.

According to Mr Shuleyko: “Africa was where our journey started. This new regional office in Abidjan is a new chapter. Our strategy is to build digital ecosystems that empower countries from within using global technologies but always rooted in local realities.”

Continuing, since starting its business in Ivory Coast in 2018, the company has grown to 16 African nations and currently employs 200 people there. It intends to develop platforms that are suited to regional requirements and expand its services even further. The company is extending its talent development program, the Yango Fellowship, to a pan-African level as part of its long-term plan to promote digital transformation.

According to Mr. Shuleyko, the program’s goal is to give hundreds of thousands of youth digital skills that are focused on the future.

He revealed: “Our mission goes beyond providing digital services. By investing in talent and skills, especially among young people, we’re helping build the foundation for long-term innovation and self-sustaining digital ecosystems across Africa.”

The fellowship program’s regional training and coordination hub will be located in Abidjan. The program is a crucial component of Yango’s larger effort to encourage innovation and sustainable tech adoption throughout the continent. With tech-powered services in mobility, foodtech, entertainment, and other areas, Yango presently operates in over 30 countries in Africa, Latin America, the Middle East, Europe, and other regions.
