Casava Inc. Announces Solabomi Oreagba As Its New Chief Operating Officer

Solabomi Oreagba has been named the new Chief Operating Officer (COO) of  , the parent company of Casava Microinsurance Limited, Nigeria’s first digital insurance provider. She is to resume office immediately.

 

Her appointment puts Casava in a strong position to expand its business and meet the rapidly growing demand for insurance solutions that prioritize digital technology, further solidifying its position as a market innovator. With more than 17 years of executive leadership experience, she brings to the position a track record of success in financial management, operational excellence, and strategic transformation.

Oreagba’s focus on promoting digital transformation and creating robust operational frameworks has set her career apart. She will have to supervise every aspect of the business’s operations and make sure Casava’s long-term goals are carried out smoothly.

According to Casava’s Founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Bode Pedro: “The future of insurance is not just about technology; it’s about building operational resilience that can adapt to rapid market changes and consumer needs.

Continuing, the new insurance bill in Nigeria opens up previously unheard-of possibilities for online insurers like Casava, so this appointment also comes at a critical moment. According to the bill, the market will grow faster from its current size of N2.2 trillion to an estimated N8 trillion by 2030 thanks to provisions that strengthen the role of technology in distribution and broaden the categories of mandatory coverage. In Oreagba illustrious career, her most recently served as General Manager, Fulfillment & Corporate Services at Viathan Group, where she oversaw important business divisions and effectively supported digital transformation projects that raised employee engagement and customer satisfaction levels. She has held prominent positions at Rensource Distributed Energy, CHC/Atlantic Aviation, and Aero Contractors in the past, where she spearheaded business development and financial planning.
