MTN Renews Strategic Partnership With Tech Revolution Africa As Headline Sponsor

The organizers of Tech Revolution Africa 2.0, the continent’s premier innovation gathering, announced that MTN has extended its partnership with the organization as its headline sponsor.

The Landmark Event Centre, Victoria Island in Lagos is the venue for the Big Bold Step, which is set for January 30–31, 2026. MTN’s renewed partnership demonstrates its ongoing dedication to fostering innovation, developing young talent, and influencing Africa’s digital future. The telecom company was also the main sponsor of the first Tech Revolution Africa in 2024, where its assistance produced a powerful platform that stimulated important debates, encouraged teamwork, and established beneficial ties throughout Africa’s tech sector, BrandSpur technology and information news desk reports.

MTN Nigeria’s Chief Information Officer, Shoyinka Shodunke, discussed the sponsorship and said it demonstrates Africa’s increasing self-assurance and leadership in the global technology arena. He revealed: “I am truly inspired by the vision of Tech Revolution Africa 2.0. This is more than innovation; it is Africa’s bold declaration that we are not just participants in the global tech space but leaders shaping its future.

“From Lagos to Kigali and Nairobi to Cape Town, our collective creativity and resilience are rewriting the rules. The world is indeed watching, and I have no doubt Africa will rise to the occasion,” he added.

The 2026 edition, according to David Ogebe, Co-founder of Tech Revolution Africa, will be “bigger, bolder, and more transformative.” It will also bring together young talent, investors, policymakers, industry leaders, and innovators from all over the continent.

The Co-founder went on to say: “Next year’s edition is set to be bigger, bolder, and more transformative, bringing together industry leaders and innovators from Africa and beyond, policymakers and regulators shaping Africa’s digital future, and investors, founders, and young talent building the next wave of startups.”

Continuing, with over 5,000 attendees anticipated, over 80 speakers, 38 exhibitors, and 15 product showcases, Tech Revolution Africa 2.0 is positioned as a major forum for cooperation and business development in Africa’s tech sector.

Glory Olamigoke, another Tech Revolution Africa Co-founder, urged attendees not to miss the event, calling it a special chance to interact with the visionaries influencing Africa’s digital future up close. She said: “There are opportunities to engage directly with visionary speakers and innovators, network with investors, founders, and policymakers driving Africa’s tech growth, and gain exclusive insights into emerging technologies reshaping industries across the continent.”

However, it is expedient to know that the Tech Platform is thought to be one of the most significant platforms for technological convergence on the continent. Key players from various industries come together to promote dialogue, create alliances, and open doors that will shape Africa’s digital economy going forward.
