DStv has rolled out a new customer-focused initiative, “We Got You,” running from January 1 to February 28, 2026, aimed at rewarding loyal subscribers with free instant upgrades to higher packages.

The promotion automatically elevates subscribers who pay for their current packages in full to the next tier, offering enhanced access to sports, children’s programming, local productions, and international content at no additional cost.

The campaign is designed to ease the common challenges associated with the start of the year, including school resumption pressures, tighter household budgets, and increased demand for entertainment. By providing these upgrades, DStv reinforces its commitment to customer satisfaction and engagement.

Commenting on the campaign, Tope Oshunkeye, Executive Head of Marketing, West Africa, MultiChoice, said, “We want our customers to step into the year feeling valued. When you buy your package, we upgrade you because you deserve more. This is our way of bringing extra excitement, choice and convenience into your home.”

Brandspur notes that this initiative underscores the growing trend in the pay-TV sector of leveraging customer loyalty to drive engagement while enhancing the overall subscriber experience. By connecting subscribers to premium content without extra cost, the campaign also positions DStv as a leading innovator in the West African entertainment market.

Subscribers of DStv Yanga will be upgraded to DStv Confam, Confam users will move to DStv Compact, Compact subscribers to Compact Plus, and Compact Plus customers will access DStv Premium. The offer is valid for existing active subscribers, reconnections, and new sign-ups within the promotional period. It applies exclusively to decoder viewing, with packages reverting to their original tiers once the promotion concludes.

The “We Got You” campaign reflects MultiChoice’s broader strategy to strengthen brand loyalty and enhance service delivery while providing Nigerians with access to diverse, high-quality entertainment options. The move is expected to boost subscriber satisfaction, increase platform stickiness, and reinforce DStv’s market leadership in the region.
