The price of fuel has once again been lowered by the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL).
Fuel prices at NNPCL retail locations have reportedly dropped from N835 to N815 per litre. This indicates a N20 price reduction at the NNPCL gas stations.
BrandSpur Nigeria news reports that NNPCL filling stations in Wuse Zones 6 and 4 Abuja, Keffi-Abuja Road, and Kubwa Expressway have adopted the new price. The new price went into effect on Sunday night, a NNPCL filling station employee who wished to remain anonymous disclosed this.
However, the N815 per litre is N79 more than the N739 per litre offered at MRS filling stations across the country, which are supported by Dangote Refinery. NNPCL lowered its petrol price by N80 to N835 on December 19, 2025, in the midst of a price war among participants in the nation’s oil downstream industry, which was sparked by Dangote Refinery’s gantry price reduction to N699 per liter.
