Nigerian music sensation Wizkid has set a historic benchmark, becoming the first African artist to surpass 10 billion streams on Spotify, the global music streaming platform. The milestone highlights the growing influence of African music worldwide.
Among Wizkid’s top-streamed tracks, his collaboration with Drake and British singer Tyla leads the pack, approaching 4 billion streams, demonstrating his global appeal. His acclaimed album ‘Made In Lagos Deluxe’ has also crossed the 1 billion streams mark, cementing it as his most popular body of work on the platform. Meanwhile, ‘Essence’ featuring Tems has become his standout single, drawing more than 333 million streams.
