Samsung has extended its Certified Re-Newed Galaxy S25 series programme to three major European markets, officially rolling out in the United Kingdom, Germany and France. The move follows the successful introduction of the scheme in the United States in August 2025 and reflects the company’s growing focus on sustainability and premium refurbished devices.
Under the expansion, customers in the UK and Germany will access the devices through Samsung’s “Certified Re-Newed” platform, while French consumers will find the same products under the “Refurbished Premium by Samsung” label. Although the naming differs, the devices, quality standards and warranty coverage remain identical across all three markets.
The Galaxy S25, S25+ and S25 Ultra models are included in the programme, with varying storage configurations depending on availability. The Galaxy S25 Edge and FE variants are not currently part of the scheme, as they were introduced later. Prices across the markets are positioned below standard retail rates, offering consumers access to flagship devices at reduced cost.
Brandspur Brand News reports that only top-grade returned units qualify for the Certified Re-Newed programme. Each device undergoes extensive inspection, deep cleaning and more than 100 quality tests. Where repairs are required, Samsung uses only genuine replacement parts, including a certified new battery. The phones are also installed with the latest software and issued new IMEI numbers.

All refurbished Galaxy S25 devices are packaged in new recyclable boxes and include the same in-box items as new units, such as a USB-C cable and SIM ejector tool. Samsung is also offering its full standard warranty on all Certified Re-Newed phones, a feature that sets the programme apart from many third-party refurbishment services.
Customers can further enhance their protection by subscribing to Samsung Care+, which provides additional cover, including a free battery replacement if health drops below 80 percent and protection against theft. The service is available across the participating European markets.
Speaking on the expansion, Jun Kim, Executive Vice President and Head of the Galaxy Value Innovation Team at Samsung Electronics, said the company is committed to increasing access to premium devices while supporting the circular economy. He noted that the programme allows more customers to experience Samsung’s latest innovations, including Galaxy AI, at more accessible price points.
Samsung has confirmed that its Certified Re-Newed programme in the United States also covers Galaxy Z Fold and Flip models, though these are not yet available in Europe. The company indicated that further market expansions may be considered based on performance and demand.
The rollout of the Certified Re-Newed Galaxy S25 series in the UK, Germany and France strengthens Samsung’s position in the premium refurbished smartphone segment and aligns with broader sustainability goals within the global technology industry.
