Visa, the global digital payments leader, has partnered with Access Bank to introduce a new Corporate Credit Card tailored for medium and large enterprises across Nigeria, aiming to transform corporate finance management and streamline operational expenditures.
The partnership focuses on creating a dual-purpose solution that enhances working capital efficiency while digitising the tracking of organizational expenses. With an emphasis on data-driven insights, the card is designed to support finance teams in making smarter financial decisions and improving transparency across departments.
Brandspur Banking News Desk reports that Andrew Uaboi, Vice President and Cluster Head for West Africa at Visa, highlighted the collaboration’s goal to advance Nigeria’s corporate digital payment ecosystem. “The Access Bank Visa Corporate Credit Card delivers accountable, seamless, and data-driven expense management for medium and large businesses, enabling them to thrive in a digital economy,” he said.
Florence Owuor, Head of Cards Business at Access Bank, added that the solution aligns with the bank’s values of innovation and customer focus. “The card combines cash-flow efficiency with operational time optimisation. Through Visa Spend Clarity, finance teams can monitor and manage expenses in real time, ensuring full control at the click of a button,” she explained.
A central feature of the product is the Access Bank Visa Spend Clarity portal and mobile app, which provides granular visibility into transactions across employees, departments, and branches. This functionality strengthens corporate governance by reducing fraudulent claims, inflated invoices, and misclassification of personal expenses as business costs.
The Corporate Credit Card also offers an interest-free period of up to 45 days, giving CFOs and Corporate Treasurers the ability to optimise cash flow while making early supplier payments, maintaining healthy liquidity, and supporting business growth.
Beyond working capital management, the card enables digitised tracking of operational expenses (OPEX), including employee travel, entertainment, procurement of fuel, office supplies, and other business needs. Issuing cards to relevant staff and departments helps organisations move away from cash-heavy processes and enhances accountability.
To support adoption, Access Bank and Visa will conduct monthly webinars for corporate treasurers and CFOs, highlighting the value of the card, best practices in expense management, and strategies for maximising efficiency in operational and working capital planning.
The launch represents a strategic push toward digitising corporate payments in Nigeria, reinforcing both Visa and Access Bank’s commitment to modernising enterprise finance and supporting businesses with smarter, transparent, and technology-driven financial solutions.
