Wema Bank Rolls Out ‘Evolution of Love’ Valentine Campaign To Drive ALAT App Adoption

Wema Bank has rolled out its Valentine’s Day 2026 campaign, tagged “Evolution of Love, powered by Wema Bank,” introducing a nationwide engagement that rewards singles, friends, couples, and newlyweds with cash prizes, luxury experiences, and celebrity performances.

The campaign follows the recent upgrade of the ALAT digital banking app, branded “ALAT: The Evolution,” and is designed to reflect how relationships grow, change, and deepen over time. Rather than focusing solely on romantic love, Wema Bank says the initiative celebrates self-love, friendship, family bonds, and marriage, offering customers multiple ways to participate in the Valentine season.

Brandspur Banking News Desk reports that the campaign is open to both new and existing Wema Bank customers across four categories: singles, friends, married couples, and couples planning to wed in February 2026. Participants are required to create a Love Goal on the ALAT app and share a one-minute video on social media narrating how their love journey has evolved.

According to the bank, selected participants will receive cash rewards, spa vouchers, vacation packages, and expense-paid getaways, while one couple getting married in February will enjoy a celebrity artiste performance at their wedding, fully sponsored by Wema Bank.

Speaking on the initiative, Wema Bank’s Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Moruf Oseni, said the campaign reflects the bank’s customer-first philosophy. He noted that love, in its various forms, aligns with how the bank designs products and experiences for its users.

“Love sits at the heart of truly customer-centric service,” Oseni said. “This campaign reflects the thoughtfulness and intention behind everything we do. We want to celebrate every form of love our customers experience—whether it’s friendship, marriage, family, or self-love.”

He added that the bank aims to ensure no customer feels excluded during the Valentine season, stressing that the campaign is designed to mirror real-life relationships and milestones.

To qualify for the rewards, customers must activate SAW, Wema Bank’s voice banking assistant on the upgraded ALAT app, create and fund a personal or group Love Goal, and carry out transactions using their ALAT or Wema card between February 1 and February 10, 2026.

Participants are also required to post their video entries using the hashtag #ALATEvolutionofLove, while tagging @alat_ng and @wemabank on social media.

Wema Bank said the campaign underscores its broader strategy of blending digital innovation with lifestyle engagement, positioning ALAT not just as a banking app but as a platform that connects with customers’ everyday lives.
