Ikorodu residents rang in Valentine’s Day 2026 with an unforgettable celebration as Goldberg brought its famed Takeover Party to the Ferry Terminal, transforming the area into a hub of music, laughter, and excitement. Unlike traditional Valentine plans, the event drew large crowds ready to experience an evening of entertainment and connection.
Couples were at the centre of attention throughout the festivities. Actor Odunlade and host Hardvantage engaged the crowd, handing out gold-themed flowers and inviting pairs to the dance floor. The highlight for couples came when one pair walked away with a large bouquet and a N50,000 cash prize after impressing the audience with their chemistry, reinforcing the event’s theme of “Our Beat, Our Gold.”
Brandspur Brand News reports that the much-anticipated DJ battle dominated the night, featuring local favourites DJ Enizy Eni and DJ Dablat. Fans rallied behind their chosen DJs as the competition unfolded in dynamic rounds. Each DJ first performed solo, followed by hypemen boosting crowd energy. Goldberg guest DJ YK Mule guided the final stretch, culminating in DJ Dablat securing first place and N2 million, while DJ Enizy Eni took home N1 million for second place.
Live performances added further vibrancy to the event. Segun Johnson infused the stage with a blend of live band elements and crowd favourites, keeping energy levels high, while Qdot closed the night with a performance that had attendees dancing well past schedule.
The Ikorodu Valentine Takeover demonstrated Goldberg’s commitment to connecting with local communities and celebrating Nigerian talent. By integrating music, couples, local DJs, and brand engagement, the event created a memorable experience for all attendees, highlighting the impact of well-executed community-centric entertainment.
The turnout and atmosphere confirmed that Ikorodu fully embraced Goldberg’s Gold Standard energy, making the 2026 Valentine Takeover a landmark event in the city’s social calendar.
