Zalos Secures $3.6M To Deploy Computer Agents That Automate Finance Operations Like Humans

Finance teams have long struggled with disconnected systems, juggling ERPs, CRMs, spreadsheets, emails, and banking platforms that rarely integrate seamlessly. This fragmentation forces employees to act as human APIs, manually consolidating data to complete billing cycles, reconcile accounts, and generate critical reports. The challenge often requires large internal and outsourced teams, yet even then, repetitive processes remain slow and error-prone.

Enter Zalos, a startup aiming to revolutionise finance operations with purpose-built Computer Agents capable of running existing finance systems just like humans. Unlike generic AI tools, Zalos’s agents are specialised for finance workflows, designed to maintain accuracy, log every action in audit-ready formats, and operate across multiple systems without heavy integration.

Brandspur Business News reports that Zalos today announced a $3.6 million seed funding round, led by 14 Peaks, with participation from Cohen Circle, 20VC, and notable angel investors. The investment will support the expansion of its Computer Agents platform, which can automate critical finance tasks, including billing across multiple systems, month-end reconciliations, and KPI reporting across multiple ERP instances.

The technology converts screen recordings of finance workflows into agents that log in, navigate applications, input data, and check controls across platforms like NetSuite, Sage, and SAP S/4HANA. CEO and co-founder William Fairbairn emphasises that the platform allows CFOs to adopt AI without replacing their existing ERP stack, addressing years of manual inefficiencies and career risks associated with ERP implementation failures.

CTO Hung Hoang added that Zalos provides a third path for finance teams: automation that sits on top of legacy systems, functioning like a human worker but at higher speed and consistency. Every agent’s action is captured in an auditable log, and the platform meets enterprise security standards, including SOC 2 Part II certification, single sign-on, role-based access, and on-premise deployment options.

Emanuele Larocca, Principal at 14 Peaks, described the solution as a transformative tool for CFOs, enabling them to unlock AI’s full potential without losing domain expertise. Nate Pontician, vice president at Cohen Circle, called Zalos agents “not just assistants, but colleagues” that free finance professionals from repetitive work, allowing them to focus on strategic business priorities.

Looking ahead, Zalos plans to broaden its reach beyond midmarket ERPs into enterprise and on-premise systems, creating a comprehensive context graph across finance stacks. The startup’s approach could redefine automation in finance, promising higher efficiency, reduced human error, and faster decision-making for companies navigating complex financial operations.
