DataPro Limited Sets March 26 AI-Focused Media Training To Boost Financial Reporting Standards

Lagos, Nigeria – DataPro Limited, Nigeria’s technology-driven credit rating firm, has announced that its annual virtual training for media practitioners will hold on Thursday, March 26, 2026. The initiative is part of the company’s ongoing efforts to deepen understanding of the credit rating industry and improve the quality of financial reporting across the country.

The programme, introduced in 2021 under DataPro’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) framework, aims to raise public awareness of the role of credit ratings in shaping investment decisions and financial market confidence. Participants will include print and electronic journalists, capital market editors, financial analysts, communication officers, and key industry influencers.

Brandspur Banking News Desk reports that the training, themed “Reporting Financial Analysis in the Age of AI,” will equip media professionals with practical skills to interpret complex financial data and leverage artificial intelligence tools to enhance reporting accuracy and clarity.

Speaking ahead of the session, Executive Director and Chief Rating Officer, Oladele Adeoye, emphasised the evolving demands of financial journalism in an AI-driven environment. “Financial reporting today is not just about numbers; it’s about building trust, ensuring transparency, and promoting resilience,” he said. “Media practitioners must now be adept at analysing dynamic data and presenting it in ways that empower investors and society at large.”

Industry experts note that AI’s integration into financial systems has significantly reshaped how data is generated, processed, and communicated, making this training crucial for ensuring accuracy, credibility, and public confidence in financial news.

DataPro, which operates under the regulation of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), confirmed that this media training aligns with its broader goal of strengthening the credit rating ecosystem and promoting informed investment decisions in Nigeria.

In addition to this March 26 session, DataPro hosts its annual International Credit Rating Webinar each October, further fostering knowledge exchange and professional development in the credit rating sector.

The upcoming AI-focused training is expected to bridge knowledge gaps between media practitioners and financial analysts, equipping journalists with the skills necessary to navigate Nigeria’s rapidly evolving digital and financial landscape.
