NIPR Appoints Amb. Dr. Brylyne Chitsunge As Keynote Speaker For Nigeria Public Relations Week 2026 In Kaduna

The Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) has announced Ambassador Dr. Brylyne Chitsunge, Pan-African Parliament Ambassador for Food Security and Chief Executive Officer of Elpasso Farms in South Africa, as the keynote speaker for the Nigeria Public Relations Week (NPRW) 2026.

The event is scheduled to take place in Kaduna State from April 19 to April 25, 2026, and will convene communication experts, policymakers, development partners, and agribusiness leaders across Africa and beyond.

This year’s edition is themed “Food Security: From Policy Paper to Public Plate – The Imperatives of Public Relations,” focusing on the role of strategic communication in transforming agricultural policy into measurable societal impact.

Brandspur Agriculture and Policy News Desk reports that the conference is expected to attract more than 2,000 delegates, including international stakeholders, public relations professionals, and food system experts.

Ambassador Chitsunge is widely recognised for her leadership in food security advocacy, sustainable agriculture, and agribusiness development across the African continent.

She currently serves as the first Pan-African Parliament Ambassador for Food Security, where she contributes to high-level discussions on agricultural reform, climate resilience, and food systems transformation.

Through her agribusiness venture, Elpasso Farms, she has developed a diversified agricultural operation spanning livestock, aquaculture, and crop production, with supply chains connected to retail and hospitality markets.

Her professional engagements also extend to global policy and research platforms, where she contributes to international discussions on health, agriculture, and development strategy.

Organisers of NPRW 2026 described her selection as a reflection of her influence in bridging policy development with practical implementation in the agricultural sector.

Chairman of the Planning Committee, Chief ‘Yomi Badejo-Okusanya, stated that her participation would bring a strong solution-driven perspective to discussions on food security and communication strategy.

The President and Chairman of Council of NIPR, Dr. Ike Neliaku, also noted that her appointment aligns with the Institute’s goal of integrating global expertise into national development conversations.

He emphasised that effective public relations will play a critical role in ensuring that food security policies are understood, supported, and translated into real outcomes for communities.

NPRW 2026 is expected to feature policy dialogues, technical sessions, youth-focused programmes, and strategic roundtables aimed at addressing Nigeria’s food security challenges through collaborative action and communication-driven solutions.
