ProjKonnect Launches AI-Powered Gemnex App With WhatsApp Integration For Nigerian Students

ProjKonnect has introduced Gemnex, an artificial intelligence-powered academic platform integrated with WhatsApp to help university students in Nigeria access learning resources, personalised academic support and real-time assistance despite challenges in the country’s higher education system.

The education technology company said the platform was developed to address persistent issues affecting tertiary education, including overcrowded lecture halls, limited access to lecturers, rising internet costs and inadequate digital infrastructure that often hinder effective learning.

According to Brandspur Brand News, Gemnex leverages artificial intelligence to provide instant academic guidance while using WhatsApp integration to make learning support more accessible through a platform already familiar to millions of Nigerian students.

ProjKonnect explained that the platform is designed to improve access to educational materials and help students overcome academic challenges by providing personalised assistance across different courses. The company said the WhatsApp feature also reduces dependence on expensive data plans and unreliable internet connections, making digital learning more practical for users.

Founder of ProjKonnect, Paul Ojo, said the initiative was created to close structural gaps within Nigeria’s education system by ensuring students have easier access to the academic support needed to succeed. He noted that while many Nigerian students possess the ability to excel, inadequate access to quality learning resources often limits their academic and professional development.

The company added that affordability and accessibility guided the development of the platform. Partnership Manager Onisabi Habeeb said integrating the service with WhatsApp allows students to obtain academic assistance without the financial burden associated with high internet costs or unstable network connectivity, helping remove common barriers to digital education.

Gemnex enables students to receive immediate responses to course-related questions through artificial intelligence, creating a flexible learning experience that complements conventional classroom teaching and supports independent study.

The launch reflects the growing adoption of AI-driven educational technology in Nigeria as edtech companies continue to develop innovative solutions that improve learning outcomes. By combining artificial intelligence with widely used communication platforms, ProjKonnect aims to expand access to quality education while supporting the country’s ongoing digital transformation in higher education.
