MTN Nigeria has expanded its youth development efforts with the rollout of the 2026 Live it 100 on Campus roadshow, a nationwide initiative designed to equip university students with practical workplace skills and expose them to emerging career opportunities in an increasingly digital economy.
The programme, delivered in partnership with the Project Management Institute (PMI), will visit seven universities across five of Nigeria’s six geopolitical zones, reaching more than 20,000 students through career development sessions, technology-focused learning experiences and industry engagement activities.
After launching at Delta State University in June, the roadshow is scheduled to continue at Ekiti State University from 15 to 17 July before moving to Ahmadu Bello University, Abia State University, Lagos State University, Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto, and the University of Calabar later in the year. Brandspur Brand News reports that the initiative combines technology, innovation, entertainment and personal development to prepare students for the changing world of work.
The collaboration with PMI is intended to introduce students to project management, leadership, entrepreneurship and digital transformation, helping them develop skills that employers increasingly value alongside academic qualifications. The programme also highlights the growing importance of managing artificial intelligence-driven projects and adapting to rapid technological change across industries.
Participants will have access to information about internationally recognised professional development pathways, including entry-level project management certification and specialised training designed to prepare young professionals for AI-enabled workplaces.
Beyond the campus events, students will be connected with the PMI Nigeria Chapter, where they can access mentorship opportunities, professional networking, leadership development and continuous learning. Interested participants will also receive support to establish PMI Student Clubs within their institutions, enabling them to gain practical project experience while building career-ready competencies.
The initiative reflects MTN Nigeria’s broader commitment to youth empowerment by combining digital access with practical skills development, while PMI aims to strengthen Nigeria’s future workforce by introducing students to globally recognised project leadership standards before they graduate.
As employers continue to prioritise adaptability, collaboration, critical thinking and digital competence, the organisers believe early exposure to these capabilities will improve graduates’ readiness for careers across technology, business, engineering, the creative industry and public service, where project-based work is becoming increasingly common.
