Air Peace and Etihad Airways have entered into a new interline partnership that will expand travel options across Nigeria, West Africa and Central Africa, allowing passengers to book journeys across both airlines on a single ticket as they strengthen regional and international connectivity.
The agreement will give Etihad Airways customers access to 20 destinations served by Air Peace across Nigeria and neighbouring African markets. In return, Air Peace passengers will be able to connect to Abu Dhabi through Etihad’s Lagos and Accra services once the new routes become operational, creating a seamless travel experience between Africa and the United Arab Emirates.
Brandspur Brand News learnt that the arrangement covers major Nigerian cities including Abuja, Port Harcourt, Kano, Enugu, Benin City, Owerri, Warri and Asaba, alongside regional destinations such as Abidjan, Dakar, Banjul, Freetown, Monrovia, Conakry, Bamako, Douala and Libreville.
The partnership aligns with Etihad Airways’ broader African expansion strategy unveiled earlier this year, which includes plans to launch daily flights between Abu Dhabi and Lagos. Once the service begins, travellers will be able to book a single itinerary connecting through Abu Dhabi before continuing to destinations across Air Peace’s domestic and regional network.
The airlines said the interline arrangement will also make combined bookings available through their respective sales platforms after the agreement takes effect, simplifying ticketing and baggage transfers for passengers travelling across multiple destinations.
The latest collaboration comes as Nigeria and the United Arab Emirates continue to deepen economic relations following the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement signed in January 2026. The agreement is also expected to support growing business and leisure travel between both countries, as well as the large Nigerian community living in the UAE.
For Air Peace, the deal marks another step in its strategy to expand global connectivity through international airline partnerships. Earlier this year, the Nigerian carrier signed a Special Prorate Agreement with Turkish Airlines to provide wider access to destinations across Europe, Asia, the Middle East and the Americas through Istanbul.
The airline also strengthened its cooperation with Emirates by activating an enhanced bilateral interline agreement linking Nigeria with the UAE and London, while expanding its West African network to reinforce Lagos’ position as a key regional aviation gateway.
The new partnership with Etihad is expected to improve passenger convenience, broaden destination choices and strengthen Air Peace’s role in connecting Nigeria with major international markets through strategic airline alliances.
