The Procter & Gamble Company has appointed Shailesh Jejurikar as Chairman of the Board while he continues to serve as President and Chief Executive Officer, completing a planned leadership transition that takes effect on August 1, 2026.
The change follows the retirement of Executive Chairman Jon Moeller, who will leave the company’s Board on July 31 before officially concluding a 38-year career with the global consumer goods manufacturer on August 14. The transition forms part of P&G’s long-term succession plan aimed at ensuring leadership continuity and sustained business growth.
P&G announced the leadership changes through its official communication channels, highlighting the company’s focus on maintaining strategic direction and creating long-term shareholder value. Brandspur Brand News reports that Jejurikar will now combine board leadership with executive oversight as the company navigates evolving consumer trends and competitive global markets.
Jejurikar joined P&G in 1989 and has built extensive leadership experience across multiple product categories, regions and operational functions. Since joining the company’s global leadership team in 2014, he has played a central role in driving growth across major business units, including Fabric Care and Home Care, while overseeing operations in North America, Europe, Asia and Latin America.
Beyond business leadership, he has contributed to strengthening the company’s supply chain, information technology infrastructure and global business services, supporting operational efficiency and innovation across P&G’s worldwide operations.
The outgoing Executive Chairman leaves after serving in several of the company’s highest-ranking positions, including Chief Executive Officer, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer. His tenure was marked by significant strategic transformation, operational improvements and sustained expansion across international markets.
As Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Jejurikar is expected to build on the company’s existing growth strategy by accelerating innovation, strengthening its portfolio of global brands and maintaining P&G’s competitive position in the fast-changing consumer goods industry. The leadership transition comes as multinational consumer companies continue adapting to shifting consumer preferences, digital transformation, supply chain challenges and growing expectations around sustainable business practices.
