Glovo has introduced a new AI-powered Shopping Assistant for ChatGPT and Claude, enabling users to discover products, compare available options and complete purchases through conversational prompts before finalising orders on the Glovo platform.
The feature marks the company’s entry into conversational commerce, allowing customers to describe what they need in natural language instead of navigating traditional search menus. After connecting their Glovo account with either ChatGPT or Claude, users can receive personalised product recommendations based on preferences such as budget, location and shopping intent.
The new capability is initially focused on retail and grocery shopping as consumer use of generative artificial intelligence for product discovery continues to grow worldwide. Brandspur Brand News reports that the integration is designed to help Glovo capture increasing AI-driven shopping traffic while improving the customer experience through faster and more relevant product discovery.
Once a request is made, the AI presents up to five matching products available from nearby stores, displaying product images, prices, merchant details and customer ratings. Customers who choose an item are redirected to the Glovo website or mobile application, where payment and order completion take place before participating merchants prepare the purchase for delivery.
To access the service, users must first connect the Glovo plugin within ChatGPT or Claude, submit their shopping request using the Glovo integration, and select their preferred product before completing checkout on the Glovo platform.
Founded in Barcelona in 2015, Glovo operates in 22 countries across Europe, Central Asia and Africa, providing on-demand delivery services that connect customers with restaurants, supermarkets, grocery stores and other retail businesses. The latest AI integration reflects the company’s strategy of expanding digital shopping experiences as conversational artificial intelligence becomes an increasingly important channel for online commerce.
