The Lagos Advertising and Ideas Festival (LAIF) has constituted a new board to steer the festival into its next phase, appointing Funke Adekola, Managing Director of Dentsu Creative, as chair.
The board brings together experienced professionals from advertising agencies, brand organisations and the wider marketing communications industry. Its immediate focus will be preparations for the 21st edition of LAIF, which will be held under the theme, “Glitch to Great.”
Beyond organising the annual festival, the board has been entrusted with shaping LAIF’s long-term direction. Brandspur Brand News understands that members will oversee areas such as governance, sponsorship, jury administration, technical delivery and broader engagement with stakeholders across the industry.
The appointments reflect LAIF’s ambition to strengthen its role as a platform that celebrates creative excellence while raising the standard of advertising and marketing communications in Nigeria. Organisers also hope to position the festival as a more recognised reference point for creativity beyond the country’s borders.
For agencies, brands and creative professionals, LAIF remains one of the industry’s most important events, offering an opportunity to showcase outstanding campaigns, exchange ideas and recognise work that has made a measurable impact on consumers and businesses.
With a new board now in place, preparations for the 21st edition are expected to gather momentum as the festival looks to build on its legacy and deliver another showcase of the ideas shaping the future of Nigeria’s creative industry.
