Nigerians buying selected LG refrigerators and freezers can receive free bundles of Golden Penny food products under a promotional campaign launched by LG Electronics in partnership with Golden Penny Foods Ltd.
The promotion, tagged Fill Up, began on October 19, 2026, and is available at Fouani showrooms nationwide. Customers who purchase eligible appliances are guaranteed a complimentary food bundle, with the size depending on the model bought.
The offer covers selected side-by-side refrigerators, top-freezer and one-door refrigerators, as well as chest freezers. Brandspur Brand News reports that the partnership combines LG’s home appliances with Golden Penny’s food products as both brands seek to offer additional value to Nigerian households ahead of the festive season.
Customers purchasing the LG GC-L22FFQPB or GC-X24FFCAB side-by-side refrigerators will receive the MAXI Box. Those buying the GN-B392PLGB, GN-B202SQIR, GC-F411ELDM or GN-Y331SLSR refrigerator models qualify for the MIDI Box, while purchases of the GCF-B205BQCF or GCF-B255BQCF chest freezers come with the MINI Box.
The food bundles are included at no additional cost for eligible purchases. However, the announcement does not specify the individual food items or quantities contained in each box, nor does it state an end date for the promotion. The offer is subject to stock availability.
Oktae Kim, General Manager of Home Appliances Solutions at LG Electronics Nigeria, said the campaign was intended to give customers additional value beyond the appliances they purchase. He said the company wanted households to benefit from its refrigeration products while receiving food items for everyday use.
Kim also encouraged consumers to visit Fouani showrooms to explore the participating models before the promotion ends.
Ilyas Kazeem, Director of Marketing at Golden Penny’s parent company, FMN, said the partnership aligned with the brand’s longstanding focus on Nigerian households. He noted that Golden Penny had served consumers for more than six decades and described the collaboration as another way to bring its products into people’s daily lives.
For consumers considering a new refrigerator or freezer, the promotion offers an additional incentive to choose from the participating LG models. The value of the extra benefit, however, will depend on the contents of each bundle, which were not detailed in the announcement.
The campaign also brings together two brands operating in different household product categories, using a retail promotion to connect appliance purchases with everyday food products.
