Peak Milk has begun updating its product packaging to feature the new Standards Organisation of Nigeria (SON) logo, assuring consumers that products carrying the previous logo remain safe and meet the same quality standards.

The packaging adjustment will affect Peak Milk products across its portfolio as the dairy brand transitions to the updated certification logo. The move comes as the company reiterates its commitment to quality assurance and compliance with applicable Nigerian standards.

According to Brandspur Brand News, the transition will take place gradually, meaning consumers may continue to find products bearing either the old or new SON logo in shops and supermarkets during the changeover period.

Peak Milk has clarified that the change does not indicate any alteration in the quality of its products. Existing stock carrying the previous SON logo will remain in circulation until the packs are gradually phased out and replaced with the updated packaging.

Marketing Manager of Peak Milk, Chioma Igwe, said maintaining consumer confidence remained central to the company’s operations, emphasising its focus on quality, compliance and providing dairy nutrition that families can trust.

The brand also encouraged customers to familiarise themselves with the packaging update to avoid confusion when purchasing its products.

The transition is particularly relevant to Nigerian households that regularly purchase Peak Milk, as the appearance of different certification logos on products could raise questions about their authenticity or quality.

However, the company has maintained that both packaging versions represent the same products, with the updated SON logo reflecting the new packaging design rather than a change in the dairy products themselves.

Peak Milk has been in the Nigerian market for more than 70 years, building its presence in the country’s dairy sector through its range of milk products.
