Zoho today announced a major update to Zoho Campaigns, its multichannel marketing platform, introducing a redesigned campaign experience, an enhanced email editor, native WhatsApp marketing and support for AI agent workflows.
The latest enhancements are designed to help businesses simplify campaign management, improve marketing efficiency and deliver more consistent customer experiences across multiple communication channels. By bringing email, SMS and WhatsApp into a unified workflow, Zoho Campaigns enables marketing teams to manage customer engagement activities more efficiently, while using AI to support campaign preparation, execution and performance analysis.
As businesses across Nigeria increasingly adopt digital channels to engage customers, marketing teams need tools that help them manage multiple touchpoints, understand audience behaviour and deliver relevant communications. The updated Zoho Campaigns addresses these needs by combining multichannel marketing capabilities, AI-assisted content creation and improved campaign analytics within a single platform.
“Marketing teams need solutions that make it easier to connect with customers, manage campaigns and understand what is working across different channels,” said Kehinde Ogundare, Country Head, Zoho Nigeria. “The latest enhancements to Zoho Campaigns bring these capabilities together, helping businesses simplify their marketing processes while maintaining greater control over customer engagement. As AI becomes more integrated into business operations, it is also important that organisations can use these technologies to support their teams and make more informed decisions.”
Bringing email, SMS and WhatsApp marketing together
The updated Zoho Campaigns introduces a more integrated approach to multichannel marketing, allowing businesses to manage communications across email, SMS and WhatsApp within a connected campaign experience. The addition of native WhatsApp marketing enables businesses to create bulk campaigns using approved message templates, send trigger-based messages and incorporate WhatsApp communications into automated workflows.
Email campaign management has also been simplified through fewer setup steps, clearer recipient counts and improved A/B testing capabilities. Marketers can test different subject lines, sender details and content to better understand what resonates with their audiences. SMS functionality has also been enhanced through simplified gateway configuration, making it easier for businesses to manage their campaigns.

The platform further introduces frequency capping across all three channels, allowing businesses to manage how frequently individual contacts receive communications. This helps prevent customers from receiving excessive or duplicate messages across different campaigns and channels.
Extending campaign management through AI agent workflows
Zoho Campaigns now supports the Model Context Protocol (MCP), an open standard that enables compatible AI agents to connect with supported application capabilities.
Through supported integrations and configured permissions, marketers can use natural-language instructions to coordinate multiple campaign activities within Zoho Campaigns. This extends the role of AI beyond content generation, allowing compatible agents to support campaign preparation, audience management, segmentation and performance analysis.
For example, marketers can instruct a compatible AI agent to prepare a seasonal campaign for an existing customer segment, use existing content, send a test and schedule delivery. They can also analyse previous campaign performance, identify successful campaigns and adapt them for new promotions, or identify contacts who have not engaged with recent communications and prepare targeted re-engagement campaigns.
These capabilities allow businesses to reduce repetitive marketing tasks while maintaining oversight of campaign decisions. Marketers remain responsible for campaign decisions, with review and approval requirements determined by their configured workflows and permissions.
AI-assisted content creation and audience segmentation
The platform also introduces enhancements designed to help marketing teams develop relevant content and reach more precisely defined audiences while reducing repetitive work.
Zia Content Analyzer, integrated into the template editor, acts as an AI assistant that checks spelling, grammar and writing style in real time. It suggests improvements to tone, clarity and phrasing, and can draft subject lines, preheaders and body copy for email, SMS and WhatsApp campaigns.
Campaign Context allows marketers to apply a shared brief, including brand voice, promotional details and audience information, across selected campaigns to maintain messaging consistency. Advanced segmentation also enables businesses to create more targeted audiences using layered criteria, engagement metrics and complex condition groups, with improved processing for large contact databases.
A redesigned campaign creation experience
The rebuilt template editor and campaign workspace are designed to simplify everyday marketing activities, from creating branded communications to managing campaign data.
The new template editor includes themes that allow businesses to define primary and secondary brand colours and apply them consistently across templates. A dedicated mobile editing view enables marketers to adapt campaign layouts for smaller screens, while dynamic content allows individual sections of an email to be personalised for different audience segments.
The editor also introduces reusable content blocks and centralised styles, allowing teams to save frequently used components and maintain consistent brand settings across campaigns. Cleaner HTML output further supports consistent rendering across different email clients.
The redesigned workspace introduces custom list views, advanced filtering and contextual information to help marketers access campaign data and relevant actions more efficiently. Teams can also share custom views and use native contact tagging to organise their marketing activities.
More comprehensive reporting and customer insights
The updated reporting experience provides marketing teams with a broader view of campaign activity and customer engagement across communication channels.
Businesses can access dedicated dashboards for email, SMS and WhatsApp, alongside a unified contact dashboard. E-commerce integrations also enable marketers to track return on investment, revenue, orders and shopping cart performance, helping them better understand the commercial impact of their campaigns.
Through integration with Zoho Analytics, businesses can synchronise contact fields and campaign activity across email, SMS, WhatsApp and automated workflows for more comprehensive reporting. Additional enhancements include unified contact scoring, which brings together engagement activity across supported channels, and centralised UTM management to help businesses manage campaign tracking parameters more consistently.
Strengthening integration across business applications
Zoho Campaigns further strengthens its integration with Zoho CRM and other connected applications, helping businesses maintain alignment between marketing activities and customer information.
Live Zoho CRM synchronisation keeps contact information and audience segments up to date, while the ability to import contacts directly from specific CRM custom views into mailing lists removes the need to recreate existing filters. Marketers can also create campaigns using Zoho CRM data without having to move between applications for every step.
Expanded webhook capabilities further support the exchange of campaign data with external applications, helping businesses connect their marketing activities with broader business workflows.
Pricing and availability
The updated Zoho Campaigns platform is available globally, with pricing remaining unchanged. Paid plans continue to start at NGN 2300 per month.
SMS and WhatsApp marketing capabilities are included at no additional platform charge, although sending messages requires purchased credits. Zoho Campaigns also continues to offer a free plan for up to 500 contacts and 2,000 emails per month.
