A local CSR initiative.

Every single day, Nigeria loses about 2,300 under-five-year-olds and 145 women of childbearing age. This makes the country the second largest contributor to the under-five and maternal mortality rate in the world. Preventable or treatable infectious diseases such as malaria, pneumonia, diarrhea, measles and HIV/AIDS account for more than 70 percent of the estimated one million under-five deaths in Nigeria.

Ipsos UU, in collaboration with a charity organization, decided to tidy up, paint the ward walls, clean and provided useful materials to the children’s ward in Lagos University Teaching Hospital. This initiative was well embraced and appreciated by the hospital management, staff, as well as the children, are given that the ward has become more hygienic, friendly and attractive. This development will further enhance the health conditions of the children and impact the children health facility positively.
