In a bid to strengthen its relationship with key customer segments, Mantrac Nigeria Limited ( Authorized Caterpillar dealers) recently hosted the Chinese community at its head office in Ikeja, Lagos.
On display to the visitors, were various engines and machines sold and serviced by the company. The company’s after sales services and equipment finance options provided by Stanbic IBTC was also available to customers.
Speaking on the rationale for the event, the Head of Marketing, Mantrac Nigeria, James Agama said that the Chinese community had become very strategic in all sectors of the economy and it was therefore important to set a day aside for interactions. The interaction was meant to understand the needs of the community and present alternative solutions.
Mantrac Key Account Manager, Yuan Yue leading the visitors on a facility tour of the company’s Advanced Manufacturing plant, following closely is the Production Manager, Paschal Ihedimbu.
The high point of the event was the facility tour which took the customers to the Service Workshop, Training school and the Advanced Manufacturing Line or CKD Factory. At the CKD factory, the customers were fascinated at the level of attention and detail employed in producing the generators for the Nigerian market. They were also impressed with the amount of investment in the factory
According to Mr Agama ‘’ The Chinese community is becoming stronger on a daily basis. Nigeria just signed a pact with the Chinese government to use the Chinese currency. All of these are pointers to an evolving new order. There are lot of partnership agreement between Nigerian and Chinese businesses
