Bayelsa State gears up to Run For Peace, accreditation opens Feb 7

The Bayelsa State Ministry of Youth Development in conjunction with I RUN FOR PEACE INITIATIVE (I-RPI) is organizing A RE-ORIENTATION CAMPAIGN RACE contest in the State capital Yenagoa on Saturday the 9th of February 2019 by 7:00 am prompt.

The aim of the race is not only for physical and mental wellbeing during and after the elections but to also convey a message of peace to the youths and residents of the state and the Niger Delta as a whole, while prizes will be given to the best three contestants among the male and female categories who are properly accredited to join the race.

To this end, students, youths and interested members of the public are invited to participate in the event. However, corporate bodies, non Governmental agencies and firms operating in the State have therefore enjoined to Grace the event.

Similarly, as dependable pillars of the State, the Bayelsa State Honourable Commissioner for Youth Development, Engr Udengs Eradiri while addressing news men in the State capital calls on security agencies, the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Man’ O War, NSCDC and other agencies of government to partner with the state government for a hitch-free event and the forthcoming elections.

Honourable Eradiri further enthused “The race will Kick-start by 7:00am, take-off point, is from Tombia Round-About  and terminate at Peace Park, opposite Government House Yenagoa”.

Accreditation starts on Thursday 7th February 2019  by 9.00am at the Bayelsa State Sports Complex Yenagoa
