Lagos State Traditional Medicine Board (LSTMB) has sought the cooperation of the State Waterways Authority (LASWA) to forge a united front to monitor traditional medicine practice in the State towards halting spurious and dangerous activities of unregistered practitioners, especially in the riverine areas.

The Coordinating Director, LSTMB, Mr Kadiku Olorunkemi made this known during a visit to LASWA to solicit support for use of water transportation and provision of life jackets that will aid the monitoring activities of the Board.

He said the partnership was necessary to reach traditional medicine practitioners who operate within aquatic and marine environments in the State, in addition to those practising in the residential areas.
