The Nigerian Investment Promotion Commission (NIPC), has formally unveiled 11 operating reports for the half of the year, January–June 30, on its website in line with the Freedom of Information Act.

Recall that the Act affords everyone regardless of tribe, age, creed a right of access to information or record held by public institutions and relevant private organisations irrespective of the form in which information or records are kept. Privacy is granted under the provision of the Act in instances of conflicts with other laws for better transparency and accountability.

In a statement signed yesterday, in Abuja, the Senior Investment Officer, Department of Strategic Communications of NIPC, Franklin Uzor, was quoted as saying that the reports included the NIPC Pioneer Status, Appropriation performances, and list of companies registered under the NIPC Act.

Others are a list of court cases NIPC was involved in, Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) and Agreements signed by NIPC, details of all procurement is done as well as a summary of all FOI requests received and responded to in the period under review. Also uploaded are Nominal roll, approved 2019 appropriation budget, approved 2019 IGR budget as well as procurement plan for 2019.
