Foremost Nigerian Telecoms brand, Globacom, has flagged off a three-month-long consumer reward promotions via which the brand says it aims to reward its teeming consumers across the Nigerian market for their unwavering loyalty and steadfastness to the brand.

In all, gift reward items worth over N150 million is set aside to be won by consumers throughout the federation, and these include 100 new Tricycle brand popularly called Keke Napep, 400 electricity generating sets, 200 exotic Sewing machines and 300 grinding machines.

The promo which goes with the tag “Recharge and Win Big with N200” will run starting from the current month of October up till December 2019.  According to the organisers, the objective is to demonstrate the true friendly relationship between the Glo brand and its customer and at the same time empower them in the face of the prevailing economic hardship in the land.

Speaking during the formal launch of the promo, the Regional Director, Marketing Communications (West Africa), Jenarious Charles Barley, explained that the Globacom aims to continuously express its goodwill to consumers and build upon its relationships through the consumer reward scheme.

According to him, the Nigerian consumer market is currently going through a tough phase, with the economy being very serious on the people. He added that Globacom decided to launch the promo in a most auspicious time as this so as to give back and empower consumers of the brand.

“A promo like this and at a time like this will help improve upon the livelihood of the people. It’s all about empowering the subscribers and enabling them to win prizes that can significantly enhance their lives. The message we are passing on to our consumers out there is to hang on, be positive and be hopeful that things will later improve,” he stated.

Also speaking, National Head of Activations, Globacom, James Samuel stated that the Glo brand was committed to adding value continuously to the consumer, pointing out that the brand was out to empower no less than one thousand Nigerian consumers economically before the end of the promo.

Highlighting on the winning procedures in the promo, he explained that potential winners would have to recharge their Glo lines at any given time with at least N200 airtime, adding that a recharge of N1,000 offers a consumer five times opportunity to emerge as winner and cart home any of the mouth-watering promo prizes.

The promo launch event attracted huge attendance of friends and admirers of the brand, stakeholders from across various sectors, including Nollywood personalities, sports personalities among which was football legend, Jay Jay Okocha, Chairman Nigerian Football Supporters Club, Dr Rauf Ladipo and a host of others.

The promo event enjoyed the tacit endorsement of prime regulatory agencies, including the National Lottery Regulatory Agency and the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC).
