The Nigerian bourse today (Tuesday) closed on a positive note as the All-Share-Index appreciated by 0.34% to sustain previous positive sentiment to three consecutive trading day. The uptrend was supported by value appreciation on some bellwether stocks like MTNN, ZENITHBANK, BUACEMENT and 24 others.

Consequently, the market breadth closed on a positive note, recording 27 losers as against 9 gainers.

In summary, the All-Share Index (ASI) increased by 86.63 absolute points, representing a growth of 0.34% to close at 25,413.76 points. Similarly, the overall Market Capitalization size gained N45.20 billion, representing an increase of 0.34% to close at N13.26 trillion.

LIVESTOCK emerged as the top gainer while WAPIC emerged as the top loser.

The upturn was impacted by gains recorded in large and medium capitalized stocks, amongst which are; ETI (+6.41), NB (+5.41), UBA (+4.80%) JAPAULOIL (+4.76%) ACCESS (+3.23%), FBNH (+3.06%) WAPCO (+2.09%), ZENITHBANK (0.60%), GUARANTY (+0.39%), BUACEMENT (+0.25) and MTNN (+0.17%).
