Heineken Brouwerijen B.V, the majority shareholder in Nigerian Breweries Plc has further raised its equity stake in the brewer with the purchase of additional 204,935 units at an average price of N41.04 per share.
Details of the transaction done on September 1 and 21 on the floor of the Nigeria Stock Exchange by the substantial shareholder (foreign) show that the brewer bought shares in four tranches.
Breakdown of the transaction:
- 20,300 shares – N38.84 per unit (1st September, 2020)
- 41,501 shares – N41.23 per unit (10th September, 2020)
- 65,000 shares – N42.10 per unit (18th September, 2020)
- 78,134 shares – N42.00 per unit (21st September, 2020)
The total share bought by the foreign investor amounted to NGN 8,410,532.40.
