According to the most recent Strategy Analytics data, global shipments of smart speakers and smart screens increased 10% year on year to 39.3 million units in the third quarter of 2021, another record high, but were essentially flat compared to Q2.

Sales of smart screens (+ 19% year on year) continued to outnumber sales of basic smart speakers (+7%), despite an ongoing and intensified shortage of semiconductors and other components affecting Chinese suppliers and those operating on the market’s outskirts all.
