Oneport 365, a digital freight forwarding startup that makes it easier to transport cargo to, from, and within Africa, has raised USD 5 million in seed funding to enable its expansion into new markets across the continent and to push end-to-end freight management digitization in Africa.

 

Mobility 54 (Tsusho and CFAO Group’s Venture Capital arm) led the seed funding round, which also included SBI Investment, Samurai Incubate, Flexport, ODX, a Singaporean syndicate fund, and other strategic angel investors.

 

 

The startup’s platform connects traders with shipping and inland transportation vendors, allowing them to manage the entire process. Traders have GPS-enabled, real-time visibility of their shipments and can view all documents related to the shipment via the platform, eliminating the time-consuming process of physically inspecting the shipment.
