Dele Momodu Calls Out Dangote Executive Director, Nike Fajemirokun For Maltreating Journalists

Nigerian journalist/publisher, Dele Momodu has called out Dr. Adenike Fajemirokun, Group Executive Director, Dangote Industries Limited for maltreating journalists who attended coverage of the Dangote Refinery commissioning.

BrandSpur Nigeria recalls the Dangote Refinery was commissioned on Monday amid hopes of transforming the country into a net exporter of petroleum products.

The ceremony was attended by President Muhammadu Buhari, the president of Ghana, Nana Akufo-Addo, Faure Gnassingbé of Togo, Mahamat Déby of Chad, Macky Sall of Senegal, Mohamed Bazoum of Niger amongst other dignitaries.

However, in a now-deleted post, Dele Momodu accused Fajemirokun of consistently exhibiting a lack of respect towards journalists invited to cover the commissioning of the Dangote refinery.

Momodu’s post was a note of caution urging Dr. Fajemirokun to treat reporters with more dignity and professionalism.

According to him, the reportedly poor treatment of journalists he described in his social media post has become part of her reputation during the commissioning of Dangote Refinery events.

In an Instagram post now deleted, Dele Momodu wrote; “Dear Dr Adenike Fajemirokun, this is just a note of caution on behalf of the reporters who suffered indignities from you again earlier today… You’ve become infamous for the manner/less way you treat those invited for coverage of the DANGOTE REFINERY.”
