Tinubu Makes New Appointment

President Bola Tinubu has announced the appointment of the former Benue State Governor, Senator George Akume as the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, SGF.

Additionally, the President appointed Speaker of the House of Representatives Femi Gbajabiamila as the deputy chief of staff and Senator Ibrahim Hadejia, a former deputy governor of Jigawa State, as the chief of staff.

Additionally, the President named Senator Ibrahim Hadejia, a former deputy governor of Jigawa State, as the chief of staff and Speaker of the House of Representatives Femi Gbajabiamila as the deputy chief of staff.

Abiodun Oladunjoye, the State House Abuja’s director of information, issued a statement to announce the appointment.

The President made the announcement, per the statement, while speaking with the Progressive Governors Forum (PGF) in the Council Chamber of the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

Akume served as the former President Muhammadu Buhari’s immediately preceding Minister of Special Duties.
