BrandSpur Nigeria reports that pay TV company, Multichoice Nigeria has announced increases in tariffs for the packages on its DSTV and GOTV bouquets. 

In a statement on Wednesday, Multichoice announced the increase in tarrifs will take effect on May 1, 2024, the company said in the statement signed by John Ugbe, Chief Executive Officer was titled, ‘Price Adjustment on DStv and GOtv Packages.’

DSTV said, “We understand the impact this change may have on you – our valued customer, but the rise in the cost of business operations, has led us to make this difficult decision.

“It remains our mission to provide the best entertainment and viewing experience to you and are committed to continue to deliver high-quality content and unparalleled service. So, from Wednesday, 1 May 2024, the price adjustment will take effect.”

With the review, subscribers to Premium package on DSTV will now pay N37,000 up from N29,500 while those on Compact Plus tariff will now pay 25,000 instead of 19,800.

Also, the price of DSTV Compact package has been Jacked up to N15,700 from N12,500, Confam tariff from N7,400 to N9300 while Yanga tariff has also been raised to N5,100 from N4,200.

Tarrif for DSTV Padi plan was also raised from NN2900 to N3,600.

HDPVR Access Service, Access Fees, and XtraView DSTV subscribers will pay N5,000 respectively instead of the old rate of N4,000.

Multichoice also increased the price of Gotv packages.
