Schneider Electric, Launches Customer Awareness Campaign to Kick Against Product Replication

Leading company in energy management and automation worldwide, Schneider Electric, has launched a consumer awareness campaign at Alaba International Market in Ojo, Lagos, to educate people about fake goods that pass for real Schneider Electric products and protect customers’ safety, dependability, and authenticity.

The campaign was designed to inform consumers and potential customers about the value of buying genuine products and highlighted the company’s proactive effort to eliminating counterfeit goods.

The reason Alaba International Market was selected as one of Nigeria’s largest electronics hubs, according to Omobolanle Omotayo, Marketing Communications Manager at Schneider Electric, was because it is home to numerous distributors and dealers of electronic solutions, including the company’s products.

According to him, “One of the ways customers can identify an individual authorised reseller is through the presence of a Schneider Electric signage and the disparity in prices between the pseudo and original.”

The campaign, according to Nurudeen Oyedeji, Channels Sales Director at Schneider Electric’s Anglophone West Africa, also aims to emphasise how important it is for end users to buy from authorised resellers, detailing the dire implications of purchasing knockoffs from unauthorised resellers.

He stated, “Purchasing counterfeit products results in zero product warranty, poor quality,non-durability, health and safety risks, and environmental harm. It leads to unnecessary repairs and financial loss.”

“Authorised resellers and distributors are present in Alaba market. All Schneider Electric customers are advised to purchase strictly from these distributors to avoid the detrimental effects of counterfeit products,” he added.

However, by merging cutting-edge process and energy technologies and services that enable integrated corporate management for homes, buildings, data centres, infrastructure, and industries, he guaranteed that the company will continue to push digital transformation.
