Alhaji Muhammadu Indimi, a significant stakeholder and Non-executive Director of Jaiz Bank has declared that he will invest any sum of money necessary to maintain the bank’s success.
The Oriental Energy Resources Limited chairman, Indimi, made this statement available to BrandSpur national stories, soon after the new branch office of Jaiz Bank was officially opened, coinciding with the celebration of his 77th birthday anniversary in Maiduguri, Borno State.
Indimi had this to say: “I am trying to see that I leave good legacies for my people, and one of the legacies is the growth of this bank. We travelled all over the world to understand the operations of the non-interest module before the bank was birthed, and I am ready to spend anything to see the bank prospers.”
Alhaji Mohammed Mustapha Bintube, the Board Chairman of Jaiz Bank, also spoke during his remarks and noted that the bank’s performance has significantly improved since hiring an additional MD/CEO and executive directors.
“In terms of our contribution to the economy, our bank’s statement, which we have made available to the public, is to see that we have invested in top sectors like agriculture, manufacturing and general commerce,” Bintube said.
In the meantime, Haruna Musa, the MD/CEO of Jaiz Bank, stated: “The banks’ presence will be beneficial to the people of Borno because we are going to support the communities immensely. Any business person can walk into any of our branches and pick an account opening form. Our operation is based on a profit-and-loss sharing formula, which is an Islamic banking principle that allows pbusiness partiesto win together and lose together.”
