
Toluwalase Bakare, a marketing and communications specialist, has accepted a position as a communications manager at Chi Limited, a subsidiary of The Coca-Cola Company and one of Nigeria’s top producers of fruit juices, value-added dairy products, and snacks.
In his new position as revealed by BrandSpur business and economy news, he will be in charge of the company’s corporate communications initiatives and, among other things, create new avenues for communication to increase employee engagement and output.
Almost ten years of expertise in public relations, brand management, media relations, crisis management, stakeholder engagement, product launches, event planning and management, corporate social responsibility, and digital marketing have been accumulated by Bakare.
Successful marketing communication initiatives that satisfy the business goals of corporate companies and consumer brands (public and private sectors) have been conceptualised, created, and carried out by him.
Bakare was in charge of developing the Tranter IT brand, raising brand awareness, and seizing opportunities for the corporate brand before being appointed as a communications manager.
He began his professional career as a Senior Account Executive at R&B Public Relations, where he provided strategic PR advice to a wide range of clients, such as Coca-Cola, Orijin, Mr. Dowell’s No. 1 Whisky, Smirnoff X1, Gordon’s Moringa Dry Gin, Black & White Whisky, Atlantic Hall School, and World Class Cocktail Week.
He was in charge of publicising the company’s image as well as the goods and services of its subsidiaries (Crovation Limited, Roadshow Logistics Limited, Milli Asset Investment Limited, and Ayoka Farms Limited) while he held the position of Head of Corporate Communications & Digital Marketing at J3 Holdings.
Additionally, he worked as a Senior Public Relations Manager at Stephanie John & Associates, where his duties included creating strategies for managing accounts, fostering strong client relationships, collaborating with internal teams to deliver client-centered solutions, and spotting opportunities for account growth.
Bakare graduated from Ahmadu Bello University with a master’s degree in marketing communications and strategy as well as an MBA in sustainability studies from Nexford University.
