Arik Air’s dedication to quality and innovation in the aviation sector has been recognised with the Bizz Award 2024 in the inspirational company category. 

Global industry leaders met at the Sofitel Singapore Sentosa Resort and Spa in Singapore on Tuesday for the award ceremony, BrandSpur digital news platform reports.

Along with the award, Arik Air was inducted as a platinum member of the World Confederation of Businesses (WORLDCOB), a designation that carries substantial duties and benefits, the airline said in a statement on Thursday.

The announcement states that the airline received this award after a thorough assessment by the WORLDCOB evaluation committee.

The statement partly reads: “During the event, Arik Air was presented with THE BIZZ 2024 trophy, a symbol of business excellence.”

“Additionally, the airline received the World Business Leader award, acknowledging its leadership in operating with innovation, knowledge, and systematic efficiency.

Continuing, the company went on to say: “Arik Air’s Chief Executive Officer, Captain Roy Ilegbodu, and Chief Operating Officer, captain Adetokunbo Adekunbi, were both recognized for their Excellence in Business Leadership, affirming their roles in steering the airline towards continued success.

“Captain Adekunbi, accompanied by Arik Air’s Head of Corporate Communications, Adebanji Ola, accepted the awards from Mr. Michael Bellido, Vice President of WORLDCOB,” it added.

Adekunbi praised the entire Arik Air crew for their unwavering dedication and commitment to excellence in his acceptance speech, dedicating the prize to them all. He also expressed his appreciation for the prestigious recognition to the board of directors of WORLDCOB.

In light of the accomplishment, Ilegbodu stated that the award is evidence of the staff’s tenacity and diligence in continuously maintaining the greatest levels of excellence. He said: “We are also deeply grateful to our loyal customers for their continued support over the years.”
