Fortnite was the top game on PS5 in July 2024
In July, the top 10 PS5 games globally by monthly active users (MAU) were Fortnite, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II/III/Warzone 2.0, EA Sports FC 24, Grand Theft Auto V, Roblox, Minecraft, Rocket League, Elden Ring, NBA 2K24, and The First Descendant.
Fortnite retained its top spot as the most popular game on the latest PlayStation console, with the top 10 staying almost the same as June’s top PS5 games ranking, except for the inclusion of Elden Ring and The First Descendant.
Trending games and biggest movers on PS5 in July 2024
There were a few big shifts in top games rankings on PS5 in June, though most of the major movements occurred outside the top 10.
- Boosted by the anticipated release of the DLC Shadow of the Erdtree, Elden Ring made it into the top 10 at #8.
- The First Descendant from Nexon jumped up 178 spots to rank at #10, after releasing on June 30th.
- Among Us also jumped up 79 spaces to rank at #12.
- VALORANT made it to #16 with a seven-rank ascent.
- After ranking in the top 1o upon its release, XDefiant dropped to #17.
Top game publishers on PS5 in July 2024
Electronic Arts (EA) had four games in the top 20 PlayStation 5 ranking in July. Epic Games, Rockstar Games, and Ubisoft all vied for second place, with two games each in the ranking.
