The 2021 report from the African Development Bank (AfDB) estimates that the gender financing gap in Africa is $42 billion. Growth4Her takes on this challenge head-on as an AFAWA Women Entrepreneurship Enabler.

The Learning Gate, ActivSpaces, Sociocapital Impact Group, and Creative Space Startups are the Co-creators and implementers of this investor-readiness accelerator program. In its first three cohorts since its launch in 2022, the program has gotten over 1,500 applications from Cameroon and Nigeria.

More than 300 women business owners have benefited from the program to date, reporting observable outcomes like more sales, a wider consumer base, better mental health thanks to psychosocial support sessions, and improved company management techniques.

The dynamic, intimate group of more than 500 women creates strong bonds among the alums, acting as a wealth of resources for chances, joint ventures, alliances, and direct access to capital and visibility. Over the next five years, Growth4Her wants to help 1,500 women entrepreneurs in West Africa.

Application for Nigerian women entrepreneurs in Cohort 4 is now available. Through investment readiness skills, this transformative program will enable chosen Nigerian women entrepreneurs to turn their SMEs into fundable, high-growth initiatives. It will also connect them directly to funding options from funders and help them build an ecosystem that supports their firms.
