Jägermeister, a premium liqueur brand, has ended the second edition of its nationwide Bar Staff Contest, which was created to honour outstanding bartenders in Nigeria, after the previous edition’s success. This program celebrates bartenders who continually go above and beyond expectations in their trade and reinforces Jägermeister’s dedication to engaging its target audience, BrandSpur news brand reports.
To win, participants had to reach predetermined sales goals and submit official proof. The competition’s requirements included completing the purchase and sales acceleration thresholds within the allotted time, reaching the weekly sales threshold of standard Jägermeister 70cl to reach a target of 1,000 bottles, and supplying verifiable verification of target achievements.
Adetayo Akinniyi of MATRIX Lounge in Oyo and David Ovakpo of Dplug Lounge in Benin have emerged as the winners of this edition. With almost 1,000 Jägermeister bottles sold each, the two bartenders exceeded the sales goal and won a total of eight million naira in cash.
Adetayo Akinniyi, upon receiving his victory, stated: “Winning this award is like mixing the perfect cocktail. I am grateful to Jägermeister for recognising and rewarding my dedication to my craft. This is an unforgettable experience, and I look forward to growing in my craft.”
