With the release of its Note 50, the Chinese technology company Realme has announced its presence in Nigeria. With an emphasis on expanding the nation’s device market and vying for market share in Nigeria’s rapidly expanding smartphone subsector, Realme promised to make its devices both affordable and available to Nigerians, particularly in light of the nation’s present economic slowdown.

With a yearly growth rate of 157%, realme, which was launched in China in 2018, has a 3% market share from its home country. Data from 2020 also revealed that Realme is the fastest-growing smartphone brand globally. Global smartphone shipments exceeded 200 million as of November 2023, BrandSpur digital news platform reports.
Antonio Ran, a spokesperson for Realme in Nigeria, stated that in just three years, realme rose to the top of the smartphone industry in thirty different countries. He said Realme was founded by Sky Li in 2018 and that young people in the world’s fast-rising economies are drawn to its idea.
According to Yusuf Adebari, Head of Marketing for Nigeria, Realme Note 50 is now formally available in Nigeria. According to Adebari, the Realme Note 50 is powered by the Realme UI T Edition, which is based on Android 14.
