
Netflix has appointed Nicolle Pangis as its vice president of advertising. She will be in charge of Netflix’s account management and advertising sales teams in the US and Canada in her new position.
Netflix claims that her data-driven methodology will support the company’s ongoing ad revenue plan across all purchasing capabilities.
Pangis, a veteran, served as the media ad executive for Ampersand TV and GroupM. She was the CEO of Ampersand, a cutting-edge advertising-sales company, from 2018 until taking her current role.
Pangis formerly served as president of 24/7 Media and 24/7 Media Europe, chief operating officer and global chief revenue officer of GroupM’s ad tech/artificial intelligence business Xaxis, and global chief operating officer of the technology, data, and services division.
In the most recent upfront TV advertising market, Netflix saw improvements in all ad categories and revenue gains of over 150% over 2023. It is predicted that Netflix will generate over $1 billion in ad revenue in the United States this year. According to projections accessed by the BrandSpur digital news platform, ad income will reach around $4 billion by 2027.
