The National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) in pursuit of a better service delivery to Nigerians have now made it easy to sort National Identity Number (NIN) related problems from the comfort of your home with its NIN-Data modification self-service.

The data you can modify are:

  • Name
  • Phone number
  • Address, and
  • Date of Birth, using the NIMC self modification platform @selfservicemodification.nimc.gov.ng.

  • Log onto selfservice.nimc.gov.ng.
  • Register and login
  • Input your NIN, verify with a face-match
  • Click on the Date of Birth Modification category and proceed to complete your payment
  • Then input your digital NPC Birth or attestation certificate number and verify it. DOB Prefills

To obtain your NPC Certificate, visit: http://attestation.nationalpopulation.gov.ng/

  • Upload your NPC Certificate and other supporting documents.
  • Submit, and check the attestation box to complete the submission

It is expedient to know

  • Applicant is notified when notification is approved
  • NIN Slip is sent to your email, and can also be downloaded or printed from the dashboard
