
FrieslandCampina WAMCO’s Marketing Director, Maureen Ifada, was recognized as one of the Top 50 Most Influential Women in Marketing and Communications in Nigeria by WIMCA for her exceptional contributions to the marketing sector in Nigeria.
Through creativity, leadership, and excellence, women professionals who have made a significant impact on Nigeria’s marketing and communications sector are honored with this esteemed award, which is presented by Brand Communication Magazine.
Over the course of her more than 20-year career, Maureen has risen through the ranks to become a successful and inspirational figure in Nigeria’s business community. She began her career in 2003 as a Management Trainee in the Consumer Marketing Department of FrieslandCampina WAMCO and rose to the position of Management Team in February 2024.

Ifada has continuously produced effective tactics that have changed the competitive environment of Nigeria’s dairy sector. Her contribution to spearheading Three Crowns Milk’s repositioning with the “Healthy Mums, Happy Families” concept stands out among her accomplishments. Three Crowns became a household name in Nigeria thanks to this revolutionary campaign that rewrote the brand’s story to emphasize caring for moms, who are the primary caretakers.
Ifada’s marketing prowess is further demonstrated by her management of the Peak brand, which has been Nigeria’s top dairy brand for more than 70 years. In her capacity as Peak’s marketing manager, she created and implemented successful plans that not only maintained the brand’s leadership but also helped it soar in a cutthroat industry.
Her vast background also includes crucial positions as Head of Shopper Marketing and Head of Channel & Category Development, where she increased shopper and retail conversion through creative tactics, digital transformations, and successful marketing campaigns. Sub-Saharan Africa has been impacted by her ability to convert strategic brand ideas into successful channel activities.
In addition to her professional achievements, Ifada has a long list of qualifications. She graduated from Ambrose Alli University with a B.Sc. in business administration, Edinburgh Business School, Heriot-Watt University, with a Master’s in business administration, and the Chartered Institute of Marketing, UK, with a Professional Diploma in marketing. She is also a member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing in the United Kingdom and a Fellow of the National Institute of Marketing of Nigeria (FNiMN).
