Henrique Braun has been appointed Executive Vice President and Chief Operations Officer of The Coca-Cola Company, with effect from January 1, 2025.
In his present role as President and Executive Vice President for International Development, Braun is in charge of the business’s operations in Africa, India and Southwest Asia, Latin America, Japan and South Korea, ASEAN and South Pacific, Greater China and Mongolia, and Eurasia and the Middle East. He will now oversee all of Coca-Cola’s operating units globally in this enlarged capacity, including the North American and European divisions.
James Quincey, the Chairman and CEO, will get his reports. In Atlanta, Braun began working for The Coca-Cola Company in 1996. Since then, he has advanced through positions with progressively more responsibility in North America, Europe, Asia, and Latin America. These positions have included supply chain management, general management, marketing, innovation, new business development, and bottling operations.
Before taking on his present position, Braun was president of the Brazil business unit from 2016 to 2020 and president of the Latin America operational unit from 2020 to 2022. He served as head of the company’s Greater China and Korea business unit from 2013 until 2016. He has held corporate, business unit, and regional positions while working for the corporation.
However, Braun made the following remarks regarding his appointment: “I am energised and honored to take on this broader role and look forward to partnering with James, our executive leadership team, bottling partners and associates to deliver on our total beverage strategy and drive growth across the company and our system worldwide.”
Continuing, Quincey had this to say: “Henrique has built an impressive track record of driving our growth strategy along with numerous operational accomplishments, all while keeping the consumer as the center of decisions. He has proven to be a trusted, strategic leader with a reputation for developing talent and delivering results.”
